Most companies and managers can go a long way in motivating staff if they STOP doing things that demotivate and disengage employees. My personal pet peeve is passively letting disgruntled employees stay around to infect the rest of the team. Passive managers leaders will often “leave these people alone” for fear of lawsuits, etc. Forgetting that they may do more harm by letting them stick around.
